Description

P-5-P is Pure Encapsulations’ active form of vitamin B6, pyridoxal-5-phosphate, the form your body actually uses rather than the form it has to convert first. Active B6 plays a wide role in day-to-day metabolism, helping break down and absorb nutrients and acting as a coenzyme in the release of glycogen from muscle tissue.

This formula also supports the absorption of other key nutrients, including vitamin B12 and magnesium, and helps the body regulate potassium and sodium levels. Because B6 is involved in metabolizing protein, carbohydrates, and fats, it is a nutrient we often discuss with patients working through diet changes or higher training loads, where nutrient turnover runs high.

Active B6 also supports normal nervous system function and healthy red blood cell formation working alongside B12. The added magnesium in this formula supports its activity and absorption, and magnesium itself is involved in hundreds of processes throughout the body, including normal bone formation.
