For children, we take extra care to create a positive, low-stress experience. This appointment measures your VO₂ max — a gold-standard marker of cardiorespiratory fitness and one of the strongest predictors of long-term health and all-cause mortality.

During this visit, you’ll complete a supervised exercise test while we assess how efficiently your body delivers and uses oxygen under increasing demand. This gives us powerful insight into your aerobic capacity, physical resilience, and how well your body tolerates physiologic stress.

You’ll leave with a clear understanding of where your cardiovascular fitness falls relative to age-based norms, what that means for your health, and practical guidance on next steps — whether your goal is longevity, performance, or simply building a stronger foundation for daily life.

Gym clothes required.

FAQs About Booking

To preserve the integrity of our holistic approach, The Healthy Place Holistic Clinic does not participate with insurance. Insurance companies often limit treatment options, appointment times, and testing methods. By remaining independent, we’re able to fully customize care and recommend what we believe is best for each individual — without restrictions or compromise.

For chiropractic services, we serve as a non-participating Medicare provider, which means you pay at the time of service. If eligible, Medicare may reimburse you directly for covered chiropractic adjustments. Please note that Medicare does not cover exams, therapies, or wellness visits.

Payment is required in full at the time of service. We’re happy to provide a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Most HSA and FSA plans recognize naturopathic and holistic health services as eligible medical expenses.

We are not a replacement for primary or urgent care. Our clinic focuses on functional and holistic medicine to help you uncover root causes and restore long-term balance. We encourage all patients to maintain a primary care provider for emergencies, prescriptions, and routine medical screenings.

No, urgent or emergency concerns should be directed to an emergency room or urgent care clinic. Our providers specialize in functional and holistic care for complex, ongoing, or chronic health issues.

After your initial appointment, your provider will recommend the best timing for follow-ups. These visits focus on reviewing test results, adjusting protocols, and tracking progress.
